Fire at Kárahnjúkar

According to the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, RÚV, a fire broke out at Kárahnjúkar last night in one of the tunnels being excavated to feed the hydroelectric power plant with water. Everyone working in the tunnel at the time was evacuated, and no one was injured. Specially equipped firefighters entered the tunnel and managed to put out the flames. The fire was caused by electricity.
