Finnish President to Visit Iceland

President of Finland Sauli Niinistö and his wife Jenni Haukio will travel to Iceland on an official visit May 28-29.

During his time in Iceland, President Niinistö will attend a conference on the Arctic to be held at the University of Iceland with representatives from industry, government and science.

President Niinistö is also planning on visiting the University of Iceland to learn about information technology and innovation in high-tech industries as well as learn about the use of renewable energy in the country, as reported by mbl.is.

President Niinistö was elected last year. The upcoming trip will be his first official visit to Iceland.
