The top three chefs were all Nordic; Andreas Andersson from Denmark, who was a guest chef at Fiskfélagid during the festival, placed second and Even Ramsvik from Norway, who cooked up delicacies at Sjávarkjallarinn, third.

Jämsen, who was a guest chef at Vox during the festival, is experienced in culinary competitions; he participated in the Bocuse d’Or in France on behalf of Finland in January, where he placed fifth.
