Iceland’s snowfall for the month of February was unusually low compared to previous years, says meteorologist Thrausti Pállsson.
Pállsson noted that even in the north of Iceland the temperature was much warmer than in years past, and that Akureyri only had three snow days last month.
The average temperature in Akureyri during the month of February was 2.3 degrees higher than normal. In Reykjavík, the average temperature was 1.1 degrees higher than normal.
