Feather Prize Goes to Iceland

This year’s Feather Prize was awarded to Bergþórr (Beggi) Eggertsson. The prize was awarded for the first time in 2002 with the intention of motivating riders to demonstrate ‘feather-light’ riding and good horsemanship, eidfaxi.is reports.

Beggi lives in Berlin, but is a member of the Icelandic national team. He won the gold medal in 250 meter flying pace with his 19-year-old horse Lotus von Aldenghoor.
