A woman in her fifties, who was traveling the country with her family, died when she was hit by a boat on wheels at the parking lot outside the service center for Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon in Southeast Iceland yesterday afternoon.
South Iceland Chief of Police Sveinn Kristján Rúnarsson told RÚV that the woman, a foreign tourist, had died instantly.
The police wouldn’t release any further details about the accident, which is under investigation.
