Farmers Market – Iceland among Finals in ISPO Contest

Farmers Market – Iceland, a company which sells clothing and accessories made of Icelandic wool and other raw natural materials, has made it to the finals in an international ISPO competition entitled “Brand New Award.”

ISPO is the largest outdoor recreation and sporting product exposition in Europe, which will be held in January. “Brand New Award” rewards companies which are considered leading in innovative design in relation to such products.

Farmers Market – Iceland was among 261 companies from 26 countries entering the preliminary competition and has now made it to the finals along with 29 other companies specializing in, among other things, innovative skiing equipment, footwear and dirt bikes.

Farmers Market – Iceland was founded in 2005 by designer Bergthóra Gudnadóttir and musician Jóel Pálsson. The idea was to utilize the unique Icelandic wool and other raw natural materials to create a line of multifunctional clothing and accessories for people like themselves, who like the outdoors but live and work mostly in the city, as stated on the company’s website.

Its products are available in about 25 shops in four countries.
