Farmers Happy with Harvest Despite Drought

Vegetable farmers in Árnessýsla, South Iceland, say they are happy with this year’s harvest despite the drought this summer.

In some cases, farmers invested in irrigation systems to ensure their crops survived the unusually dry period, reports.

The area produces close to 80 percent of Iceland’s vegetables.
