Farmers Begin Rounding up Sheep

Farmers around Iceland begun rounding up their sheep from mountain pastures this weekend.

The annual round up is known in Icelandic as réttir. The event is often awaited with some anticipation and afterwards celebrated with good food and drink, song and dance.

It has also become a popular event among laymen and tourists who like to observe the spectacle.
