A police officer in Blönduós, northwest Iceland, woke up to a powerful explosion early yesterday morning: a firework had exploded by his door.
The firework had been fastened to the entrance door of the police officer’s home and blew up like a bomb instead of flying into the air. The explosion was so powerful that the man’s neighbors woke up as well. Fréttabladid reports.
Police are investigating the incident and suspect that it was not a coincidence that the firework was blown up outside the home of a police officer.
