Musician Helgi Björnsson and his ‘Berlin band’ will play at the opening, which almost 200 visitors are expected to attend.

The exhibition is described as an ode to the Icelandic horse through different art forms, including photography, sculptures, video art, motion pictures, design and fashion.

Almost 20 Icelandic artists and designers participate in the exhibition, which is curated by designer Ragna Fróðadóttir.

A culture program has been organized in connection with the exhibition, including a film night on May 23, pop up café on May 26 where Icelandic kleinur (twisted doughnuts) will be on the menu and on May 31, traditional Icelandic rhymes will be performed by Steindór Andersen to the music of Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson.

The exhibition’s final reception is scheduled on June 26 in correlation with the official visit of President of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson to Germany.

The exhibition was prepared in consultation with the Icelandic Equestrian Association (LH), sponsored by the Icelandic state and supported by Promote Iceland and Wow Air.

Admission is free. For further information, visit the website of the Nordic embassies.
