The exhibition “With Your Handwriting” opens in Gallerí Marló on Laugavegur in central Reykjavík at 2 pm today, where framed handwritten poems by well-known Icelandic poets will be on display.
Soprano Hlín Pétursdóttir will perform at the opening, followed by a poetry reading. Participating poets include Kristín Ómarsdóttir, Margrét Lóa Jónsdóttir, Rúna Tetcshner and Birgitta Jónsdóttir.
Among the poets, whose works are included in the exhibition, are Vilborg Dagbjartsdóttir, Thórunn Erla Valdimarsdóttir, Gudrún Eva Mínervudóttir and Gerdur Kristný.
Gallerí Marló, which also has artwork for sale, highlights illustrations and graphic art, carrying the works of some of Iceland’s best known artists.
