EVE Online Nominated for BAFTA

The computer game EVE Online, developed by Icelandic company CCP Games, has been nominated for a BAFTA award, as announced in London yesterday.

The game, which was released in 2003, has been nominated in the category Persistent Game in 2015, ruv.is reports. The award celebrates games which have been on the market for a long time.

Other games nominated in the category include World of Warcraft, World of Tanks and League of Legends.

The award ceremony will take place on March 12.

The award ceremony for the BAFTAs for film and television was held on the weekend. Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson was nominated for the Theory of Everything in the category Best Original Music but Alexandre Desplat won for his score in The Grand Budapest Hotel.
