The Icelandic National Defences asked the inhabitants of three houses in Mýrdalur, south Iceland to evacuate their homes due to avalanche danger.
According to local police, weather forecasts in the area were very bad. A small avalanche fell close to the farm Gardar in south Iceland yesterday and its inhabitants left yesterday afternoon and will wait at a neighbouring farm until the danger has passed.
