The inaugural Stockfish European Film Festival opens in Bíó Paradís cinema in downtown Reykjavík this evening with a screening of drama/thriller Blow Fly Park, directed by Jens Östberg and starring Icelandic actor Sverrir Guðnason.
Sverrir recently received the Guldbagge trophy at the Swedish Film Awards for Best Actor—defending his title from the 2014 awards.
A Q&A will be held with Östberg and Sverrir at tomorrow evening’s screening.
Thirty films will be shown during the festival, which runs through March 1.
