The European Film Festival Iceland (EFFI) opens at Bíó Paradís cinema in Reykjavík at 19:30 on Thursday with a screening of The Broken Circle Breakdown from Belgium.

The film, which has received critical acclaim and is nominated for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards of the European Film Academy, will be screened free of charge on the opening night.
