The Environment Agency of Iceland is limiting access to Dyrhólaey nature reserve, a South Iceland landmark. RÚV reported first. The decision is in order to protect birds during nesting season.
Access to the area will be limited from 8 May until 25 June. Visitors will be required to stay on footpaths between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM and the area will be closed off overnight. Starting on June 25th, the area will once again be open 24 hours.
