Minister of Industry and Commerce Ragnheiður E. Árnadóttir would like to see fees implemented at tourist spots around the country, Morgunblaðið reports.

The Iceland Touring Association (FÍ) suggests that the solution be two-fold: the fee provide money for a fund for the development of tourist spots and on the other hand, a special fee be implemented to popular places where the impacts of tourism are likely to be the greatest.
