Emergency Teams Call off Search for Missing Woman

Emergency services have temporarily called off the search for Aldís Westergren, a 37-year-old woman, who has been missing since February 24, but police will continue investigating her disappearance, asking for cooperation from the public.

Westergren was last seen in the Reykjavík suburb of Grafarholt. The Capital Region Police ask anyone who may have information on her whereabouts to contact them by calling (+354) 444-1000, Fréttabladid reports.

According to amx.is, Westergren is 165 to 170 centimeters tall, has dark-blond shoulder-length hair and was possibly wearing a dark jacket or a coat, dark trousers and a black-and-white scarf.

With assistance from track dogs and divers, emergency services have searched for Westergren all over the capital region, including Kópavogur harbor, the Fossvogur neighborhood and Reynisvatn lake.
