An eight-year-old girl lost her life in a car crash on Ólafsfjarðarvegur road in North Iceland on Sunday, RÚV reports. She was a resident of Siglufjörður. Three cars were involved in the accident, which occurred at an intersection a short distance south of Dalvík.
Four people were transported to hospital, including the girl, who was pronounced dead once she arrived there.
According to information from Akureyri hospital, the other three are in stable condition, and their injuries are not life-threatening.
