The Ministry of Finance has published a new macroeconomic forecast for 2006-2007.
The Ministry also includes a projection of developments up to 2010.
A full report in Icelandic and a summary edition in English, The Icelandic Economy, was published today.
In a press release, the Ministry of Finance said the chapters were in the process of being translated, and a full report in English would be published no later than on April 28th.
According to news station NFS, the report predicts a bright future for the Icelandic economy. The depreciation of the Icelandic króna and other factors will slow down the rapid growth of past years and substantial increase in the production aluminum will drive exports and growth.
The Ministry predicts GDP growth of 4.8 per cent this year and 1.8 per cent next year.
