Easter Egg Hunt in Iceland’s Slopes

The weather outlook for the Easter holidays in Iceland is good and ski resorts around the country will be open. Programs include toboggan and sleigh races, snowboard shows and Easter egg hunts in the slopes of Hlíðarfjall, Akureyri, and Oddsskarð, Neskaupstaður.

“It is very important to us to have people come ski during Easter and to properly say goodbye to the season before they start tending to the duties of spring,” Magnús Árnason, managing director of the ski resorts in Bláfjöll, outside Reykjavík, told Morgunblaðið.

Other ski resorts that will be open over the holidays, weather permitting, include Tindastóll in Skagafjörður, Böggvisstaðafjall in Dalvík and the ski resort in Ísafjörður, the West Fjords, where people attending the annual Aldrei fór ég suður music festival are headed.
