Dust Masks Necessary in Certain Regions in Iceland

It is recommended that people who live in regions subject to ash fall wear dust masks because of toxic chemicals that might have been emitted into the atmosphere through the current volcanic eruption in Eyjafjallajökull glacier.

This doesn’t apply to the entire country, as falsely reported on mbl.is earlier today.

Dust masks are available free of charge at all healthcare centers. For further information contact the Directorate of Health.
