Dubious Russian website links to Icelandic sites

A website with a Russian domain entitled “Little Boys Rule,” containing material described as child pornography, provided links to 14 Icelandic websites on barnaland.is where parents create blogs about their children.

“It is really disgusting to go though this and somehow it never occurred to me that it could happen,” María Katrín Jónsdóttir, one of the bloggers, told Bladid. “A girl noticed that the Russian site linked to my son’s website. She called me and I closed access to the site at once.”

Jónsdóttir said her website had mainly contained family pictures, some of her son playing half-naked. She said the Russian website encouraged its users to point out pornographic material on the web containing pictures of two to nine-year-old boys.

“I can’t remember another incident like this, but we will reiterate to users that they should close access to their sites [with passwords],” said Ingi Gauti Ragnarsson, one of those responsible for barnaland.is.
