Chelsea striker Eidur Smari Gudjohnsen was arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly driving drunk. The 26-year-old Icelandic national was stopped by police for speeding around 5:20 am on Sunday, after Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Everton. Gudjohnsen scored the team’s lone goal in the match.
Police gave Gudjohnsen a breath test, which showed he was just over the legal limit. Gudjohnsen must report back to police by the end of the month to receive the results of his blood-alcohol test, and find out whether or not he will be charged.
