The seventh of the 13 Icelandic Yule Lad brothers, Door Slammer, surprised employees of the Blood Bank earlier this week by paying them a visit and offering to donate blood.

His initiative was welcomed but it took Door Slammer a while to make himself comfortable in the blood donation chair—afterwards he complained about it not being a massage chair, ruv.is reports.
Door Slammer was a little nervous and so he sang a Christmas song to calm the nerves. However, the needle didn’t sting as badly as he had anticipated and the blood donation was over before he knew it. “I hardly felt anything,” he commented.
Door Slammer recommended that others do the same; there is significant need for blood donations at this time of year.
