Directors at RIFF Discuss their Work

In relation to the Reykjavík International Film Festival (RIFF), participating directors and actors will today take part in panel discussions and Q&A sessions after the screenings of their films and give presentations on their work.

French director and author Philippe Claudel will discuss his latest film I’ve Loved You So Long with guests to the Nordic House at 12 noon today, and at 6 pm at Idnó tonight, Finnish director Arto Halonen will give a presentation on the role of documentaries in world politics in relation to his film Shadow of the Holy Book.

Another presentation will be held by Sandi Dubowski, on homosexuality and religion, in relation to the film A Jihad for Love, which he produces, at the headquarters of Samtökin ‘78, the National Organization of Lesbians and Gay Men in Iceland, at 12 noon.

David Kinsella, director of A Beautiful Tragedy, Arsinée Khanjian, who stars in Adoration, Gwen Haworth, director of She’s a Boy I Knew, and Elemér Ragályi, director of Without Mercy, will answer questions from viewers of their films.
