DesignMarch, a four-day feast for designers, businesses and everyone interested in design, will take place in Reykjavík next week, March 18-21. Various events, lectures and exhibitions reflecting the diversity in Icelandic design are on the program.
“DesignMarch will color the city of Reykjavík and the country. It heralds the coming of spring, bright and joyous and throws light on new opportunities,” describes a press release.
As part of the 2010 DesignMarch, French designer Philippe Clause will present his first design collection featuring the new labels ESUALC and ICE-CRAP on March 19 in the gallery Augafyrirauga on Hverfisgata 35, 5 to 9 pm.
“The exhibition will feature entirely unique decorative and fashion items brought to life by models in motion,” the designer says. All creations are made of recycled material and Icelandic wool.
