Football legend David Beckham is in Iceland, along with his wife, Victoria, and children. Last night, they were the guests of Björgólfur Thor Björgólfsson and his wife Kristín Ólafsdóttir in Mosfellsbær, just outside Reykjavík, according to RÚV. There was reportedly a lot of traffic in the area around the home.
The family arrived in Iceland last night in a private jet. The couple, who have four children, celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary on July 4.
Today, they were given a private concert inside the volcano Þríhnúkagígur in Southwest Iceland, along with two of their sons, Brooklyn and Romeo. Sigríður Thorlacius and Guðmundur Óskar Guðmundsson, members of the band Hjaltalín, played for them.
Guðmundur Óskar told RÚV the concert was a success, although he had a hard time concentrating, being nervous about meeting his idol. He had two goals: to have his picture taken with Beckham and to give him regards from Beckham’s fan club, called Albert Morgan, in honor of Manchester United’s kit man.”
Morgan was popular while he worked at Manchester United, and Beckham was pleased with the name of the club. Today, it’s been 25 years since Beckham signed a contract with Manchester United.
