Danish Jazz-Players Perform in National Museum

The Danish jazz band Memories of You, fronted by Olav Harsloev, head of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival Committee and a professor in design and esthetics, will perform in Kaffitár cafeteria at the National Museum of Iceland today.

Harsloev will play the clarinet during today’s concert. The other band members are Jan Ole Traasdahl who plays piano, bassist Lasse Larsen and drummer Jan Fahrenkrug.

The name of the band is similar to the title of a song written by Andy Razaf and Eubie Blake in 1930, made famous by Benny Goodman, as stated in a press release.

Memories of You is only on a short trip to Iceland and this will be the only opportunity to hear the band play. The National Museum promises a cheerful jazzy atmosphere around the entire museum.
