Danish Investor Buys Stake in Dagsbrún Media

Danish investor Morten Lund has acquired a 51 percent stake in Dagsbrún Media, the Icelandic holding company that publishes the Danish free newspaper Nyhedsavisen, from Baugur Group.

Baugur does, however, hold other shares in the company, Fréttabladid reports.

On the website of Nyhedsavisen, Lund is quoted saying that the world of media has been revolutionized and that Nyhedsavisen has a part in that.

Lund is one of the founders of online telephone company Skype and sold the company to eBay in October 2005 for USD 4.1 billion (EUR 2.8 billion).
