Danish “Clowns” Preview New Series in Iceland

Danish actors Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen, the writers and stars of comedy show Klovn (“Clown/Fool”), along with Denmark’s darling, actress Iben Hjejle, will attend a special Iceland preview of the 6th series of their show in Reykjavík today.

According to Fréttabladid, the trio wants to show that they are friends of Iceland by inviting local fans and media representatives to attend the screening in the Ida building on Laekjargata in central Reykjavík at 4 pm.

With the screening they are celebrating the release of the fifth series on DVD, which will be available in Denmark as of November 4.

Klovn has proven very popular among Icelandic viewers. In the series, Hvam and Christensen play themselves, self-obsessed actors who run into a heap of trouble. Hjejle, who is Christensen’s partner in real life, also plays herself.

Hjejle received international recognition for her role in High Fidelity (2000).
