The Supreme Court of Iceland confirmed yesterday that one of the smuggling suspects from the amphetamine bust in east Iceland in late September should remain in custody, like other suspects, while the case is being investigated.
The male suspect was arrested on the pier in Fárskrúdsfjördur after a vessel carrying almost 60 kilos of amphetamine dropped anchor there, ruv.is reports.
According to yesterday’s ruling, the man, who was originally sentenced to one week in custody, will remain in custody until October 18.
