Currency Restrictions Gradually Abolished

The government has agreed to implementing a plan to lift currency restrictions, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and the International Monetay Fund, mbl.is reports. The restrictions will be gradually lifted, the Central Bank of Iceland has announced.

In order to avoid disturbing the balance of the economy, the restrictions will be lifted gradually, each step depending on the fulfillment of certain requirements.

On August 5th, further details of the agreement will be announced.
