Björk and her daughter, Ísadóra Bjarkardóttir Barney, will be acting alongside one another in the upcoming film The Northman, RÚV reports. The script is co-written by renowned Icelandic author and sometimes Björk lyricist Sjón and director Robert Eggers, whose previous work includes The Lighthouse and The Witch.

Björk will be playing a character called ‘The Slav Witch.’

Slated as a ‘Viking revenge blockbuster,’ the film is set in the early part of the 10th century and is being filmed in Northern Ireland. Willem Dafoe, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, and Bill Skarsgård also have prominent roles; Alexander Skarsgård will take the lead as a Viking named Amleth.

Björk and Sjón previously worked together on Lars von Trier’s musical Dancer in the Dark, for which the pair co-wrote lyrics, including those of “I’ve Seen It All,” which was nominated for an Oscar.
