Up to 100,000 guests are expected to participate in the Reykjavík Culture Night on Saturday reports Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, RUV.
The day starts with the Reykjavík Marathon. The Reykjavík Marathon consists of a traditional marathon, half marathon, 10 km race and a 3 km fun-run. About 4,000 runners participated in Reykjavík marathon events last year.
The Reykjavík Culture Night will be officially opened at 11 AM with the start of the Fun Run. According to a statement by the City of Reykjavík, about 300 events will take place including “music, dance, theatre, science, art performances, and offers from restaurants” .
