In commemoration of its 25th anniversary, Gerduberg Culture Center in Reykjavík opened two new exhibitions this week, “A Rendezvous with Collectors III” by a group of artists and “Sights of Seven Countries” by María Loftsdóttir.
The first exhibition is dedicated to instruments and various objects that are related to music in one way or the other. Visitors will also be able to listen to music samples which bring them “into the complex and adventurous world of music,” as stated on Gerduberg’s website.
The second exhibition displays watercolor paintings which Loftsdóttir painted during her travels around the world. Her paintings are from seven different countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Iceland, Japan, Peru and Scotland.
“A Rendezvous with Collectors III” runs until September 7 and “Sights of Seven Countries” until April 20.
