Cow Goes For a Dip in Family’s Hot Tub

The family at Melar, a farm near Flúðir in South Iceland, received two very unusual guests Tuesday morning, Vísir reports.

“We were having our morning coffee when we saw two heifers step onto the veranda and look in through the kitchen window. We thought we’d imagined it, but when we went out to look it turned out to be actual cows. They wandered around for awhile before one went for a dip in the hot tub while the other took a look around the garden,” said Guðjón Birgisson, horticultural farmer at Melar.

“It was wonderful, I’ve never seen anything like it. There was a lot of splashing in the hot tub, especially when she got out of it!”

The family was eventually able to herd the unexpected visitors back to their home at neighboring Hrafnkelsstaðir.

“It all went well and was very fun. There were no damages and the heifers weren’t any worse for the wear, it looked like they were having as much fun as we were,” Guðjón added with a laugh.
