The KEX Köntrí Festival is a three-day event held at Kex Hostel in central Reykjavík July 4-6. It celebrates the culture of bluegrass and country with music, food and drinks. The festival will open with an ‘Independence Day Cocktail’ at 6 pm.

The highlight of the festival is a concert with the “legendary” alt-country band Lambchop from Nashville, Tennessee, as stated in a press release.
The organizers have also invited a selection of Icelandic and Canadian musicians to perform during the three days of the festival.
