Couch Fest Films is celebrating its fifth annual festival in 2012. Applications to host a screening are now being accepted, according to a press release from the festival.

The Couch Fest Films festival consists of short films screened in people’s houses all over the world on the same day.
The event, to be held on November 10 this year, replaces traditional theater venues with cozy residential venues and alternative locations. Viewers are encouraged to discuss the films after each movie.
The event took place alongside the Reykjavík International Film Festival last year. Ten houses in the city hosted an event, along with 20 other houses abroad.
