Controversial Winning Goal

Sveinn Aron Sveinsson, who plays for the handball team Valur, scored the winning goal against FH last night. He scored the goal from a fast break in the final seconds but it is very questionable whether or not the time had run out before the ball reached the goal.

When Troels Kure, a Danish referee, blew his whistle, signaling that the goal was valid, he almost had a riot on his hands. The players of FH were furious and gathered around the two referees of the game, screaming. Helgi Rafn Helgason, the other referee of the game, has worked with Kure in Denmark with great results for the last few years, visir.is reports.

Ruv.is has provided a short clip from the game so that everyone can judge for themselves.
