Icelandic cartoonist and playwright Hugleikur Dagsson, who is known for his black, and to some, tasteless humor, has released his sixth “us” book Jardid okkur (“Bury us”) to lighten the mood of Icelanders during these times of economic crisis.
The publisher JPV describes the book as “packed with bold but also hilarious jokes,” stating that while laughing, the reader is forced to ponder on the absurdity of modern times, asking: “Should I be laughing at this? Why not.”
JPV promises that the book will bring smiles to every face despite the crisis. The only “us” book by Dagsson that has been released in English is Avoid us (2006).
