Continued Seismic Activity at Bárðarbunga

Around ten earthquakes occurred in and around Bárðarbunga volcano between midnight and 7:30 this morning. The largest quake measured magnitude 3.9 and occurred shortly after 3:30 am, as reported on the website of the Icelandic Met Office.

An earthquake measuring magnitude 5.5 occurred at 10:20 yesterday morning.

The eruption in Holuhraun continues at a similar intensity to previous days but due to low cloud cover the eruption is not visible on webcams.
