Iceland Review would like to congratulate Mark Mauriello, the lucky magazine reader who won a trip to Iceland in 2007—Iceland Review’s subscription prize. Mauriello and his daughter Julianna will be spending New Year’s Eve in Iceland.
“A funny thing happened on the way to what’s next. My daughter Julianna Mauriello, a young girl, blossoming into adolescence and the next challenge in her career, was plucked from a lineup of talented, aspiring actresses by the whirlwind that is Magnús Scheving […]. Suddenly, I had become the father of LazyTown’s Stephanie and utterly captivated by the sports elf Sportacus and all he created,” Mauriello wrote to Iceland Review.
Julianna Mauriello as LazyTown’s Stephanie.
“Iceland became my new adopted home and a beloved country, the Icelanders my new brethren. Nowhere in my travels have I seen more resourceful people, Vikings all through, make up a bigger proportion of the population. Rarely have I had more fun. Never have I encountered a more astounding and beautiful land, complete with so many wonders of the natural world,” Mauriello described.
We hope that Mark Mauriello and Julianna will enjoy the fireworks spectacle in Iceland on New Year’s Eve and wish everyone a Happy New Year!
The next subscriber to win a trip to Iceland will be picked out soon.
