Company to Stop Using Whale in Dog Food

Japanese company Michinoku Farms has decided to stop using fin whale meat from Iceland in its dog food products after criticism from environmental groups.

The company’s CEO says that although the use of fin whale meat was legal in Japan, the company was not fully aware of the reaction it would cause, ruv.is reports.

The company also uses horse meat from Mongolia and kangaroo meat from Australia in its dog food.
