Common Snipe has Arrived

In the good spring weather, migrant birds have started to arrive in Iceland. RÚV reports that the common snipe has been seen both in Hornafjörður in Southeast Iceland, and on Snæfellsnes peninsula, West Iceland.

Big flock of swans are also coming now from the UK, where 20,000 Icelandic swans spend the winter, while one to two thousand stay in Iceland all year.
