Cold Forecast for North

There was heavy snowfall in Reykjavík overnight, bringing the snow depth in the capital area to 19 cm (7.5 in).

It will be partly cloudy in Reykjavík today and -2° C (28° F). At Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon in Southeast Iceland, it will be sunny and -6° C (21° F). The same is true for Húsavík, Northeast Iceland, while it will be -3° C (27° F) and snowing in Ísafjörður, the West Fjords.

Tomorrow, Friday, there will be light snow and -2° C (28° F) in Reykjavík. It will be cloudy and -2° C (28° F) at Jökulsárlón, cloudy and -7° C (19° F) in Húsavík, and cloudy and -2° C (28° F) in Ísafjörður.

Saturday: sunny and -3° C (27° F) in Reykjavík, cloudy and -4° C (25° F) at Jökulsárlón, cloudy and -4° C (25° F) in Húsavík, snowfall and -5° C (23° F) in Ísafjörður.

Sunday: sunny and -7° C (19° F) in the capital, sunny and -10° C (14° F) at Jökulsárlón. Light snowfall and -11° C (12° F) in Húsavík, and sunny and -9° C (16° F) in Ísafjörður.

Monday will be really cold in the north, but in Reykjavík, it will be partly cloudy and -5° C (23° F), cloudy and -6° C (21° F) at Jökulsárlón, partly cloudy and -16° C (3° F) and in Húsavík, and light snow and -4° C (25° F) in Ísafjörður.
