City Grants Kids without ID Number School Entry

The City of Reykjavík’s school and recreation committee approved on Wednesday a change in the rules which would allow children without Icelandic social security numbers or a registered address in the capital to go to kindergarten, ruv.is reports.

The change, which was unanimously approved, means that children who are waiting for resident permits or are seeking asylum in Iceland will be able to attend kindergarten while their applications are processed.
