The concert is reported to have been a success, reports.

In an interview with Fréttabladid, Lauper said she had always wanted to visit Iceland, although she doesn’t know much about the country.

“I know the country is very beautiful and have heard many stories about volcanoes and giant glaciers,” Lauper said of her motives.

“And one of my favorite bands, the Sugarcubes, comes from Iceland. I loved that band when it first appeared and I’m still of the opinion that Björk is a genius,” she added.
