Chinese New Year in Iceland

Yesterday 250 Chinese workers at the Kárahnjúkar dam project celebrated the end of the year of the monkey, and the beginning of the year of the rooster. This is thought to have been the largest celebration of Chinese New Year to have been held in Iceland.

To celebrate the New Year, workers ate a large lunch including tofu, pork and delicacies, watched Chinese movies, and sang Karaoke.
